We all heard the same reports. I'll try not to flood Livejounral traffic with what we already know. My supervisors gave us the option of leaving work for the day. I will stay. Though I mourn for the dead and wounded, I do not fear.

Nothing's the same anymore

I remember visiting New York with my mother barely a month ago and seeing the Twin Towers with awe and reverence from the Empire State Building. Though I now live in Cambridge and my family lives in Miami, we all knew that we were from New York. To us, it was home. I was born there. I think of my beautiful city in flames, and it now hurts.
