Stubborn Pride

sunyata__, "When stubborn pride is involved, bitterness seldom improves." There have been no attempts for my father or youngest brother to contact my mother or vice versa. I'm still trying to reach my father since he was scheduled to visit the doctor after a four-day fever. This was on Friday.
I've offered to have my mother come to Boston until she can get back on her feet. She refused.
I've asked what she needs right now. She says luck as she attempts to get supplies by herself. HELLO!!!! I'M OFFERING TO GIVE YOU SUPPLIES RIGHT NOW!!!!
She is still trying to be the sacrificial lamb of Job proportions. It's everybody for oneself there. Sometimes, I want to cry. Sometimes, I want to strangle someone.
